28 October 2007-FIKNATICS CHARITY DAY with TAUFIK BATISAH! =)
ONE WORD-AWWWWWWWESSOOOOOOOMEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The chance that comes like maybe once in this lifetime to be able to do charity work with my dearest Idol. Something that I've been longing to do, that is to contribute to the society and to be able to help the people who are not as fortunate as us and make them smile, even if it's only for one day.
Upon reaching the Home, never did I expect what I saw. But Alhamdulilah, at least they have a shelter and a place they can call home. The voices of the children can be heard when we were walking towards the function hall, where the event would take place. How sweet!
At the function hall, I was apalled to see the angelic & beautiful faces of the children. I love the sense of belonging. The sense of we-are-all-the-same feeling. It was such a beautiful moment. There wasn't any tension. Only the yearning to know more about each other and play jokes/tricks on each other. If you took a second for thought-the acquantaincing happened a few moments-barely minutes ago, how magical.
Taufik was fashionably late, but takpe excused because he wasn't feeling well. I could see the joy of the children upon Taufik's arrival. Well, he is our Singapore Idol after all! =)
Taufik was HOOOOOOOOOOOOOT in his green shirt, jeans and his Ed-Hardy cap! *melts*
Started off with a group photo with him and then had some welcoming and ice-breaking. Then, it was tea-break. Doughnuts, hotdog buns and cakes. Phew! The kids were GEREK lah! Awesome bunch, nice to mingle around with.. =)
Oh yea, balloon sculptering was WOOOSH power. Taufik's flower very kesian seh. Hahaha! HEY, he used to be a clown okay! Taufik, nevermind cannot be balloon sculpter, be SINGER sudahlah! Lagi baik! =)
After tea-break had games. The Raya costume parade game using newspapers, the Raya songs FREEZE GAME & Raya Charades.

Ohh yeah Taufik was in Kuih Baulu. Other teams, Kuih Saloma, Kuih Bantal Pelok, Kuih Tat & Kuih Makmur. Weird names sehh. Hahahaha!!
After that had a sing-a-long RAYA session with the kids and then it was Taufik's turn for entertainment. Upon requestrom the kids, he sang 'I Dream' and 'Bukan Kerana Nama' LIVE for the kids. And then guess what? *FAINTS*
The kids requested for 'Usah Lepaskan' &&&&& he played on the piano and sand LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How cooooooooooool is that? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH.
After that was the end of the event and Taufik distributed some souvenirs to the kids and WE, the volunteers from FikNatics too received a Certificate of Apreciation from the man himself! Coooooooool! =) Nervous seh when he held my hand and thanked me for everything! So touching...
After bidding goodbye to the kids, we took some photos with the man himself. Phew! Taufik hooooooooot laaah. Biler nak kahwin? Hahahahahaha! =)
Thanks Taufik for providing us the chance to do charity work and opening our eyes to see the tricks of Life.. You are the reason what I am today, seriously.. It's all because of you that I met those angels..
I left the home not just with memories of being there with Taufik, but those angelic faces, laughter, voices and smiles... Those are simply unforgettable.. Memories that I will keep for a lifetime. I know, I'll be back there again. I will.
The feeling when I came in to the Home was simply different from when I left the Home. 2 different feelings, 2 different thoughts, an unexpected expectation and a lesson reinforced. Alhamdulilah...
I'll keep them in my prayers. Hopefully, they'll grow up to be useful people and lead a meaningful Life with a promising future ahead of them. InsyaAllah.. Amin.

27 October 2007-SEMARAK AIDILFITRI
Semarak Adidilfitri was well, kinda mediocre. Expected a table near the stage or at least in the centre-but we unluckily got the table at the last row. Chets! But, it was okay because WE had lotsa fun time together. SYIOK SENDIRI LAH. Anyways, biaselah kalau ader org2 giler mcm us. Senantiase kecoh habis!
Food was not up-to-standard, but perhaps was worth the $10 we paid for the event. The 5-course dinner started off with cakes and kuehs, then otak-otak, satays, fishballs and prawns sambal, nasi minyak, ayam masak merah, daging rendang, lontong and finally fruits for dessert. Well, tempting enough aye?
The performances were AWESOME, SPLENDID. Especially Hyrul's, Roslan's & Fauzie's rendition of 'Cinta'. Phew, I take my hat off them! KEEP IT UP DUDES! =)
Hyrul's duet with Imran was simply WOW! 'Keajaiban' and 'Tidak Lama Lagi' was HEAVEN. Oh yar, Hyrul's rendition of 'Terharu' was AAAAAAAAAAAAARGH. I LOVE IT SO MUCH laaah! He was like a cacing kepanasan on stage dancing like WOAH. Suke eh dier! =) But, power! GREAT PERFORMANCE. Getting better and better! Kudos! =)
Maiya sang Gemilang and got the crowd moving with her powerful voice! Like duh? Maiya Rahman was SUPPOSED to be the winner for Anugerah 2007 anyway, but it wasn't her fortune. Heh.. *coughs*
Overall, it was great but honestly, sad to say, a few singers were just 'spoiling the record'. It seemed better if they DON'T sing at all. Ooooops, if you were there you too would agree with me. Phew!

BEAUTIFUL REUNION!
After what seems like a decade, the 5 of us eventually found a day to meet up! AT LAST, I really missed the times when the 5 Girlfriends hang out and say lame jokes and share stupid stories.
Initial plan was VIVO but Gatal SV changed the plan last minute to Cetral@Clarke Quay. Nice place, especially the steps by the waters. ROMANTIC. *ehem ehem*
Ate at LJS heh. And talked crap while waiting for GF Aishah who took like 1 hour just to reach a place 1 MRT station away from her workplace. HAHAHAHA.
Saw the few people who took the Bungee Ride and screamed along with them.. Weird haha. Scary. I wonder if I'll ever take the ride. Haha. I took out my MP3 and I sang the songs in it, when my voice was still serak2 from my flu! Haha! Haus. Next time I sing again. BETTER WITH MY SEDAP VOICE. STOP IT FIZA.

Anyways, Semarak Aidlfitri will be on this Saturday yeah! And on Sunday, we're gonna go to an orphanage home to celebrate Raya with the kids-with my dearest TAUFIK BATISAH. AT LAST. MISS HIM SO MUCH! ALHAMDULILAH MY DREAM CAME TRUE TO DO CHARITY! Yay!

Went RAYA with the polymates on last Thursday. Had no school as Field Practicum hasn't commenced yet. Went to 7 houses in all. Started off from East to West. First to Syazwani's house, then to Myra's, then to Maryam's, then to Ayu's, then to Azizah's, then to Rezeki's and lastly, MINE. HEH.
Syazwani droved her Mum's WISH 7-seater car and the 9 of us, including Pamela and Sarah squeezed in the car! Coolness! By the 3rd house some were already tired and sleeping in the car during the journey! Hahahaha.
Ate alot man. Mee Goreng, Epok-epok, Mee Soto, Cakes, Ketupat, Sate, Daging Rendang.... Mintak ampun! Makinlah berisi.. HEHEHE..
AND I also learned a few interesting things about my POLY loves!
1. Rez can't take Ajinomoto, if not she'll have a headache!!
2. Azizah can make ketupats! It's a skill!!
3. Idayu's pet name at home is AYU!!
4. Syaz's neighbour is WEIRD.
5. Myra's sister have the same name as me.
6. Rez's younger brother is so becok!
7. Maryam-I dunno what to say. BUT you look stunning in kebaya babe!
TIRED SEHH. HEH. And guess what? My camera is gone with the wind. Long story, if you know, you know. HEH. So, the pictures are all gone and I stole the pics from the rest of them. But guess what? I've got problem loading them up except for these 2. DAMN IT. SO, ASAL KAU BAHAGIA. WEWEWE.

SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDIFITRI!
*chuckles* for a moment. Heh.
It feels like a comeback to be blogging now. Haha. Well Raya wasn't as interesting as the past years, I felt. However, I still enjoyed myself. What more when I meet my wacky cousins. My lousy camera didn't have a memory card for the first day of Raya and I used my phone. Didnt take a family photo, Shucks.
Aba reached home at like 2pm on the afternoon of Hari Raya. WTH. Working for like 30hours. WAHLAO. Then headed top Nenek's house at Toa Payoh to meet my maternal relatives. After that, went to Jurong West to meet the paternal relatives. AWESOME. I MISS MY COUSINS. WE HAVE ALL GROWN UP TO BE SUCH GORGEOUS LADIES & HANDSOME GENTLEMEN. It's in th genes. HAHAHA.
1st and 2nd day of Raya. Had lotsa visitings and FOOD. Damn it mann, I think I ate a lot. My favourite will still be Kuih Makmur, Kek Roll with Nutella, Ayam Masak Merah & Lontong! *drools* SEDAP mintak ampun..
2nd of Raya was the start of school for the 2nd sememster. Was boring as usual. Have new lectures now, Phillip ans Syai-BEST. New lecturers, including Ms Tan and Wai Fan. Meeting the rest of the POLY peeps was Heaven, finally got to meet them after 2 months..
Wednesday, Raya outing.
Thursday, met POLY peeps for Raya at Tampines, Bedok & CCK. Syaz's the driver of the day! Woooo!
Friday, another Raya outing.
Raya outings are always tiring but it's awesome FUN. Never regretted wearing Baju Kurung/Kebaya and those heels just for Raya outing. I love wearing those anyways. HAHAHA.
Overall, RAYA 2007 IS FANTASTIC. More to come actually. Perjumpaan(S) Hari Raya. Open House(s). Hurray.

The theme of the night was party and I was really partying in the studio! Felt like a loose goose especially when By Definition was performing! *faints*
Catsinecradle did great too. Their vocalist just has such an oozing and melting voice seh. Hahaha. Quite hot too.
As for Revalina who was ousted, I know you guys wil never give up. You guys have great talent and I'm sure given a chance, Revalina will shine! NEVER STOP PLAYING MUSIC!
Shauna, I'm depressd that she was eliminated as she clearly SHOULD be in the Finals! You rock, babe anyway!
