Moments of Serenity.

"Suppressing your feelings will result in endless pain and continuous negative thoughts and tears."

Ask yourself, subject to only the female gender: Have you felt like what had been described above? Well, I have always did.

Being the gender which have been stereotyped to be weaker and sensitive, it's difficult for me to actually release the plunger to let go of all the pressure deep inside. It has been a norm for me all these years anyway and close friends should realise this. It's my weakness, I know.

Okay put that aside for now. :)

Let's talk about adults. Wait, I'm referring to the immatured ones. I'm not trying to say I'm matured but let's not be subjective. It's my space and I can say what I want. As long as I know my limits, of course. I'm an quiet observer but am not the kind who will shoot my mouth out when I see something I dislike or nothing favour of because I mind how the person would feel. I'll probably just gossip about it wth my girlfriends maybe. I'm not trying to show off that I'm nice or whatsoever but if you're a real friend, you will know!

One thing for sure is: I just can't stand it! Grow up, it's for your own good! Heh! *slaps forehead*

Okay load off my mind. :)

Another issue. I am fully aware that some people act like they understand me when they actually DON'T AT ALL. I confess I really hate this and it's pissing me off! You tend to jump to conclusions and you confirm possibilities which may not be possible at all from your subjective judgement. *swears*

Time doesn't show much by the way. If it doesn't work out, it won't. No point forcing it what. Oh please! Doesn't my attitude towards you show it? Pretending to ignore? Most probably. Don't know how to describe these people lah!

Everyone has his/her own positive and negative traits. Of course I acknowledge that I too have many negative traits. That's just human. But you cannot anyhow say things okay. Yes, I may have a high-self esteem and you may think that this minor issues may not affect me that much. One thing I got to say is, 'Never judge a book by it's cover.'

I don't pretend, most of the times. (Unless the situation needs me too.)
Only CLOSE friends will understand.

I'm sorry if I come too real.
It's just me.
If you can't accept me for who I am.
Scram away,
from my LIFE.

Psst: I just needed to blog about this. Okay I'm done. :)

Cikgu Fiza!

SJI Junior boys! :)

10 weeks of Speech & Drama lessons! Rehearsals and performance. This was the PIONEER school I was sent to for training as a Drama teacher. No doubt, it had an impact. That's the reason why I'm blogging about it now. Teaching intelligent students, furthermore coming from a reputable boys' school was a tedious one, especially when it came to a language they were unfamiliar with, Malay!

Them being boys, I had to practise a non-stop routine every Wednesday, that is to make them listen to me by raising my voice a little and demanding "Boys! One silent clap!" Then they follow suit. A single clap followed by a Shh, yes fingers on the lips. It's the traditional way, yes but it works.

Speaking Malay was an obstacle but I'm glad they did learn new vocabularies. This time round, I taught more about Pantomimes, well yes a more profound term for 'miming'. Examples would be the likes of Mr Bean & Charlie Chaplin. Oh they enjoyed that week I showed them the videos! Hahaha chaotic. Their naughtiness pushed aside, it was a beautiful journey with them. :)

I had a great time teaching at this prestigious primary school, SJI Junior. I wouldn't mind going back. It's where I can see those cute boys who strives hard to talk Malay and sound super cute whilst doing that! I would like to try a different school though. Hmm that depends anyway. The children's performance were cute anyhoots, glitches here and there but that's normal. They are just Primary One and Two's!

Thank you my dear boys.
Cikgu Fiza wishes you all the best in all that you do. :)

Adam, the leader & Dean. the chatterbox. :)

My favourite pair of bestfriends, Keiran & Joshua. They will fight and complain to me and then will re-patch, how adorabe right. :)

Russel, the motivated student who always show the want to learn. That's why I awarded him as the Model Pupil. :)

Ashraf, the student who's ability was founded near to the end of the sessions. He was a shy boy but eventually becamse very active and participative in class. :)

Thank you Zizah for accompanying and coming to my rescue on the performance day! Lotsa love! This photo mcm First Lady advertisement sia. :)

Remember I mentioned Kak Aida just gave birth like finally few weeks ago? Here's a photo of her daughter, my niece! Look at her dimples. Muka sebiji mcm bapaknye! Lol.

Welcome to the world, EDREENA! Alhamdulilah. :)
Kak Aida, cepat abis confinement! ~~

For YOUR sake, at least if not with the rest of our clique, with YOU in school okay? *hugs*

KRIS ALLEN!

The New American Idol is : KRIS ALLEN! (:

I was rooting for him since Day One. He just had that special exuding aura that made me go, "Wow, love the charisma baby."

I specially woke up at 8am yesterday morning just to watch the LIVE show on Channel 5. It was really worth the effort. The artistes line-up was simply mind-blowing. I wished they did not have to reveal the results and that the concert can just go on and on. Danny Gokey caught my attention with his solo performance, awww. Kara, notorious! Special awards segment added to the humour, cool! BEP was fabulous, not forgetting Jason Mraz and Fergie plus the rest! Ahh awesome.

I don't care if he's married.
I don't care if he's 23.
I don't care if people keep on running him down because of his win.
I don't care if people said Adam should have won. *rolls eyes*

It's justified.
People have voted for him. 100 MILLION VOTES. Uh-May-Zing, totally.
And that's why he is the new American Idol. (:

It's apparent. Both Adam and Kris are very talented, correct? The difference, however, Kris has versatility. Adam can sing, but he constantly relies upon that one high note in EVERY song, making the performance predictable. Adam was clearly a favorite with his fantastic vocals, undeniable. This is, in my opinion by the way.

Kris has definitely impressed me with his longevity in Idol. More surprising was his win, considering that all along, the odds were stacked against him, much like everyone else. Huhu.

A real underdog story.

An inspiration.
A perfect example.
Because,
Miracles Do Happen.

(Like I always say.)

Psst: Kris Allen, keep a goatee and remove that moustache. :)

Top Local Malay Pop Song: Usah Lepaskan! :)

If you know me well enough, you will know what a great crush I had on that particular song, in English it's called, Don't let go. :)

Thanks to COMPASS. (:

This song really just gave me that different, unique aura, so kudos to the both of them. It's the only Malay song that I will never get sick of listening to, really. Siti pon kalah beb! (:

Oh btw, I've made plans with some awesome people and I hope the plan(s) will go on well as planned. We'll work towards it okay. Got no time to waste already. Huhu. It's a goal, let it be a vision! Tell you more when it's time! *wink wink*

An Inspiration.

Adam Lambert. KRIS ALLEN. Danny Gokey.
Obvious who I'm rooting for uh?

The grueling results came to me when it was announced live by Seacrest in America. No! I wasn't shocked or dumbfounded as it was what I reckoned and hoped it was. I was smiling all the way when I heard the results. KRIS ALLEN! Anyhoots, kudos to Danny Gokey for coming thus far. Oh, I am not a fan with men with husky voices lah. So, maybe that's why Hady Mirza wasn't of much appeal to me. Heh, oops!

Nonetheless, I still watched the delayed telecast on Channel 5 yesterday night. I had one thing to point out to. The segment in which the Idols went back to their respective hometowns. Where the fans were screaming at the top of their voices. And Danny tearing.

Like a cupid's arrow, it strucked me, right there. I somehow got mesmerized by that and suddenly I asked myself, 'Where do I want to be?' No, not a singer like them of course! But somebody else. I suddenly reflected upon myself.

It's time to KNOW what I want in life!

People say, let'sjust go with the flow and see what the future has in store for us. But, I choose to do the opposite. I don't want to let fate do the job. I want to to it myself. I want to make my own choice. It's by no means easy to say, 'I'm very sure'.

I already have some things/plans in mind but all the things that has been happening around me adds to the vulnerabilities. *sighs*

It's not that I don't believe in myself but more of the personal insecurities.
Wait.

Think positive Fiza. :)

So tell me, what is your dream?

Psst: You're all I ever needed.

A Love Song.

Izinkan by Fauzie Laily

Tell me about it. Who can ever get tired of love songs? We'll never get sick of it, will we? Well at least not for me. I'll like to share this video clip with you. It's titled Izinkan by the admirable multi-talented talent from Anugerah 2005 , Fauzie Laily. I think this song has a very addictive and soothing melody. A potential wedding song. Lol.

It tells the tale of about a guy knowing for sure that he has finally met the right person, his better-half. And all he want from that someone special is to allow him to always shower her with the precious element, love. Girls, say it together, "Awwwwwwww!"

Kau adalah ketemuan yang tak ku sangka
Kau adalah kebetulan yang terindah.
This video is dedicated to all those in love.
*winks*

This post is dedicated to Sharifa Bte Mohd Sharif.
A mother, a bestfriend, an angel sent from above. Alhamdulilah.
She's my all in all.

She's the one I have wholesome trust in, and she never failed.
She does her best in everything, and for that, I salute her.
The persistent mother who always wanted me to be the best in all that I did, and I'm thankful because of this, I am a better person now striving for the best in all that I do.

All her sacrifices for me and my siblings all this while, can never be underestimated.
I promise in the name of Allah, that I would work hard so that my parents and family can live the best life they can in future.

There you go, the most inspirational person of life, my Mama. Happy Mother's Day. Everyday is Mothers Day to me anyway. :)

Ngee Ann, where I belong! :)

TGIF, it's the end of the week! Thankfully! School has been exhausting but not boring. Sleep-deprived plus eyebags, not to mention the unbearable hot weather. Sucks, totally!

Wedneday was disastrous. I was supposed to be in school by 9am. Mind you, I woke up at 6am! Because I take very long to dress up. Heh. Dad bought prata so I thought I'll just have one for breakfast. I don't usually have breakfast actually. On the way to school, a sickening diarrhoea hit me and I was stucked in the toilet for almost a freaking ONE hour. Imagine it. Must be the cury! Sucks, totally! *grins*

And yes, you guessed it right, I had to skip the tutorial. And then I had no choice but to travel to Novena ASAP after I felt a lot more better. Yes, to SJI Junior for Drama lesson. Practically dragging my feet! Then I had to cab back to school for another lecture at 2pm. Bangs head, torturous okay. We were all sleepy in lecture! Tried to stay awake, worthy effort!

And oh, Sarah got a little crazy one day and started composing this song in school which got us laughing because of the tune.

It goes like.

"We love each other.
We're friends forever."
(Sarah, continue the song for me! Lol.)

Pamela dozed off in lecture! Hahahahahaha. There you go, Pam! *wink wink*

Was supposedly to have a meeting for Starlites '09 but it was cancelled and postponed to today(later!) cause 2 members couldn't make it last minute. :) Wani and me managed to kill those time waiting for our respective plans by watching a movie that I randomly picked in the library. principal have too much money is it? Even latest movie also have lah, plus new DVD screen sets! Gosh.

Odd Girl Out. Something like Mean Girls. Hehee.

Oh have I also mentioned about something else? Because of the Swine Flu virus which have been hitting a few provinces already.. We are all mobilised to take our temperature in the morning and afternoon. AM & PM. Stupid, irritating and troublesome, yes. But it's for a good cause and it's always better to be safe than sorry so let's stay positive!

Unglam sia wear this sticker. Lol.

Dinner with Sakinah

SAKINAH! Thanks babe for an awesome time together dining at Swensens. We met up at around 8 at Plaza Singapura, yay! Finally. Plans asyik tergendala je tapi jumpa juga akhirnya.

I actually met her during a competition 4 years ago, when we were both representing our respective schools for a Malay-to-English Words Translation Competition. We both got through the Semis only. But it was a great opportunity an dsince then we lost touch till a few months ago when she stumbled upon my blog as she was blog-hopping.

The power of technology, tell me about it! We'll meet up again soon okay babe. Secret Recipe!

I'm off to a meeting now. And not forgetting, need to start on 'Current Issue' assignment tonight!

Till then, take care!

You're One In A Million!

Awesome talent show!

Performing without the sengau-ness, LOL.

There you go, Shah Indrawan, adik kepada Shah Iskandar. Lol, kidding!

Friday night was the finale of OIAM Season 3. A battle between Tomok, Esther and Aweera. I am not really an avid follower of this reality tv show but I only kept track of Tomok's performance since his auditions till the finals. BIAS, I know! You will never imagine how crazy I was over him and NewBoyz in the past during those Primary school days! *slaps forehead*

For the record, I would buy all his albums, all those magazines no matter if it's a large article or simply a small snippet about him or a poster of him, telemovies that he acted in and whatsoever. You name it, I have it. It was really crazy! Gosh. Not forgetting Achik SPIN too! Okay that's out of the point here already. Hahaha!

To those who hasn't been told, Tomok @ Shah Indrawan have been crowned as the Millionaire Winner for Season 3! He scored 39.3% (101,509 Votes).

Yayness! *throws confetti*

Initially, I dropped my jaw when I heard that he joined the auditions for OIAM and to know he had actually emerged as the winner, I guess I ought to wear dentures now. Lol! I really had no pre-assumption he would be the one. You know how people always have this sceptical thinking about singers joining singing competition, right? So yeah.

No doubt, a large female fan-base is largely the reason why he won, he already garnered fans singing as the lead vocalist of NewBoyz. However, I have to admit that he has improved not-so-tremendously-but-so-much-more-better over the years and after undergoing vocal trainings. Sekurang-kurangnya dah tak sengau, kan? Lol.

I loved his renditions of Cuba(Faizal Tahir) & Rahsia Pohon Cemara(Exists) especially. And boy, he looks so mush more better with that hairstyle, compared to that long-rebonded hair! That was such a nightmare, in my opinion! Sekarang dah good-looking jugak. Hehehehe. :)

That's about it. Oh yeah I went to watch the Anugerah Auditions at Easpoint too just now but am disappointed to say that I don's see anything worthy YET. Time will tell, I'll just wait for the Top 24 perhaps? Heh.

I ought to be asleep now cause I need to rise up early tomorrow morning for Kak Herda's wedding! She's taken, woohoo! Meeting my Fiknatics lovelies after 10 years! Lol.

Till then, take care you. :)

Psst: Coba kau coba.

Along's Engagement.

Like I mentioned earlier, I didn't lie when I said I was practically being tied down with assignments and etc. It's giving me a brainfreeze! But oh wells, that's part of life and anyway it's the last leg, so get it over and done with man! :)

This week was alright, I guess. Wednesday being the most tiring. I had to teach drama lesson at SJI Junior in the morning, then cabbed to school for lecture after the lesson and then had a meeting with the Hyrulites Exco at CCK Lot 1 for our upcoming event, StarLites '09!

I was dead beat by the end of the day but I still had work to do. I didn't even had the energy to watch American Idol. I felt sick yesterday morning, splitting headache and bad flu! Must be because I had a shower at 1am the night before. I had to skip school, as a result! Damn it.

And yes, MATT has been eliminated yesterday. *sobs*
Its okay, go Kris Allen & Adam Lambert!

Oh yeah, last Sunday the paternal side of the family had a reunion once again at Jurong West St 61. It was Along's engagement. Wait up, his name is Hamdan but it's been a norm to call him Along like his siblings as we grew up together since young. He's like a brother to me lah.

Preparations were done 3 days before or so. It was oh, so chaotic. With the hantarans and food and all those stuffs. We sent in 12 hantarans in Black&White and was reciprocated by a 15 convoy of hantarans in Turqoise! I didn't manage to snap the photos of the hantarans though. Congratulations Along. Get married soon! :)

And Kak Aida have successfully delivered a baby girl at 5pm yesterday at NUH! Congratulations, you're now a mum! Can't wait to meet and chat again! Cousins, let's go out again!~~

And now, I'll feed you with some of the pictures I took at the engagement. :)

The make-up artiste said Kak Shida looked like Norfasarie? Really meh? Maybe the skinnier version? Lol.

My favourite hantaran! A gigantic soccer ball cake! Along is a football player lah! Lol. It's so cute!

Congratulations to you both!~~

Thanks Zuraimi for the caricature! I've framed it gave him as a gift. :)

Ain, Rima and Yourstruly. :)

While waiting for people to get ready..

Eqah and Irsyad, our very-own Hady Mirza! ~~

That's my one-year-younger brother, Hafiz, a Sepak Takraw player who have apparently lost A LOT of weight, damn it!

She calls me Kak Nur, and I love pinching her cheeks! :)

That's Rima who have to dress-up and put on make-up to school everyday because of her course, Tourism & Hospitality. :)

Yours Truly. *wink wink*

To those who are going for the auditions for Anugerah tomorrow, as a contestant or as the audience/critics, see you all TMR! :)

Good luck to those auditioning, especually to Atiqah Sisqa(Hyrulites) & Hamyza! :)
